Same again

After an enjoyable pastel session the other day I struck while the iron is hot as they say. This time with a stunning lady but not one Id like to meet on a dark night. I like the large pastels as it makes me be a little looser but sometimes I do wish for a few pastel pencils for the smaller detail, especially eyes.

  2. Paul, you have to change the title of this blog.
You are no longer 'playing' with paints.
This is some serious stuff !!!
LOve it, love the subject ... Your branching out to other mediums, and your doing well with all ..
Pastel seems to suit your needs,,so go head be a spender and get a few pastel pencils .

  3. Your too kind Ladies. I havnt given up on the paint but I have no paper except some cheap poor paper. I do see some mileage in pastels, a look in hobby craft today at the pencils had me baffled as to what I wanted.

  6. Your lioness is beautiful! I love pastels too and went through a phase of using them, but then reverted back to watercolours but would love to practice more with pastels, I'd get a beginners set of pastel pencils to try out which will have the basic colours in - they are really handy for the finer detail - as for watercolour paper, Bockingford 140lb from Ken Bromleys isn't too expensive but is good quality.
